Hey y’all! I wanted to pop in and give you a little update on where I’ve been, because I know I’ve been a little MIA. I had plans to start posting more often and really digging deep into making this blog great, and that’s still my plan, but life is unpredictable! I’ve been very busy this month (May always is), with my birthday, mother’s day, my mom’s birthday, and wedding season. I’ve hit that age where everyone’s getting married or having kids, so naturally there’s many wedding showers, baby showers, and similar events taking up my weekends.
On top of all that, I’m moving in a few months! If you didn’t know, I did the common millennial route in life, went to college and then moved back home. I didn’t have a job lined up immediately after college, but I found one 6 months later. Anyway, I’ve finally worked my way up there to where I can comfortably get my own apartment, and I’m so excited! I can finally expand my blog into even more home decor posts, because I’ll have my own space to decorate. Hopefully you’ll join me on this journey because I’m pretty much starting from scratch when it comes to what’s needed for a home.
To start, I had bedroom furniture, a mattress, a tv, and most of the necessities of bathroom decor packed away from my college apartment. If you want to follow along with me be sure to follow me on instagram! I’ll be active on stories as I find more items and share my dilemmas – such as wanting too many cute worded signs and not having enough walls! (LOL).
Since the start of decided to move, I’ve picked out some dishes from Pier 1 Imports (thank goodness for clearance!) I’ll link them here + I got 15% cash back thanks to Ebates (now known as Rakuten if you were confused). If you use my referral link you get $10 right away! I also picked up a vacuum cleaner which is one of the most adult purchases ever if you ask me. I also have glassware picked out but I’m not going to order it until I have to. There’s no sale on these so I’m not too worried that they’ll sell out it 2 months.
I have my eye on some basic living room furniture that fits my modern farmhouse goals. It has that sleek wood top and metal legs. The hardest thing for me to decide on right now is a couch and can I just say WHY OH WHY are they so expensive? If anyone has any good sectional couch recommendations let me know cause the road to the perfect couch is bumpy.
That’s all I have for now but I’m excited to show you all my apartment finds! There’s big things ahead for us!
