Sorry this is going up so late, but Sephora has revamped their rewards program and to celebrate, they’re having a sale! (insert confetti) Now is the time to stock up on your favorites and to try out some new items. There probably won’t be another sale until November so carpe diem ladies!
Rouge members get 20% off with code “YESROUGE” beginning August 24th (yes that’s now!), while VIB members get 15% with code “YESVIB” off starting August 30th along with Beauty Insiders getting 10% off with code “YESINSIDER”
I’ll wait for you to grab your current favorites. . .
If you’re a little overwhelmed with all the new products that have come out over the summer and as we transition into fall, I’m here for you! Here are my suggestions to snag during this surprise sale.
Skincare & Body
I always take advantage of these sales to buy new and stock up on skincare lines. Right now I’m super happy with my Drunk Elephant products so I’ll be grabbing a C-Firma Day Serum and a Glycolic Night Serum. I ran out of those before the rest of my items…I’ve done a whole post on my skincare if you’re interested in reading more about the brand and the products!
Hold onto summer all year long with the products from Sol de Janeiro. I love the moisturizing body wash! Their signature scent of caramel and pistachio takes you to another place. If you love it already, try out their body scrub or even a body butter! I even bought the body spray so I can smell heavenly all the time. Those that love adding a glow to their skin will be absolutely obsessed with their Glow Oils!
But if you’re ready for fall and battle dry skin, try L’occitaine’s Almond Shower Oil. It feels so luxurious and lathers up into glorious bubbles!
The Norvina palette has been receiving great reviews! If you love purples and pinks, this one is for you. It also has equal parts matte and shimmer shadows. I’m not adding this to my collection because I already have some items that are similar and I’m really trying to exercise some restraint here. (Crazy I know.) Anastasia palettes are amazing and her shadows are one of my favorite formulas.
If you’ve ever wanted to try out Natasha Denona eyeshadows, she recently came out with a mini palette (it’s only $25!!!!) that allows you to try the formula without committing to the huge price tag of a full palette. It’s another range of beautiful purples.
It Cosmetics’ CC cream is a favorite among the beauty community, and they’ve recently launched a matte version. Anyone that’s ever tried the original but felt they got oily from it can celebrate in the benefits and simplicity of CC creams once again! I, however, prefer more coverage in my foundation, which is why I’m hoping to pick up this next item…
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation has been widely reviewed and I’m really hoping to try this one, even though I have no need for another foundation at this point. But we all long for airbrushed skin right?!
Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder is another recent launch that I want to try out. I’m not sure that I’ll grab it this go around, because I’m already working out of two different powders as it is. I’ve heard great things about this powder though (though it does supposedly smell very perfumey), but if you’re on the market, give it a try!
An oldie but goodie is the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder. I’ve talked about this before, but it’s good! I’m also using Too Faced Matte Peach Loose Powder and loving it, but it does smell (and taste) like peaches.
Huda Beauty also launched their Demi-Matte Liquid Lipstick and I am HERE FOR IT. I’ve been so tired of the crepey matte lip look. Unless you have beautifully plump lips from genetics or the help of some filler, they don’t do you any favors!
Ok. mini rant over.
But honestly, I’m so glad we’re starting to see true liquid lipsticks. These are definitely going into my cart, and there are so many perfect nudes to choose from!
If you’re a falsies kind of girl I have 5 words for you: stock up on your lashes.
Living Proof launched it’s Body Builder volume spray, and I’ve been itching to give this a try. I already love their Volume Blast texture spray, so I’m curious to see the difference in these. Comment below if you want a review!
Bumble and Bumble Invisible Hair Oil is another favorite. I veered off to try one from Dry Bar, but I think the verdict is I like the bumble and bumble one better. It lasted me forever and never weighed down my strands while protecting them from heat.
If your hair needs a little lift in the root department, or you feel like you’re getting oily quicker than normal, it’s probably time to detox your scalp. This Scalp Revival Scrub from Briogeo is amazing. I notice an immediate difference and you only need to use it once a week if you’re a die hard dry shampoo lover like me.
