45 Affordable Ikea Farmhouse Decor Finds

I know everyone’s favorite Swedish furniture store isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you thing of farmhouse. But times have changed and it should be one of the key places you check when looking for the perfect item. If you read my other farmhouse posts, you know that I talked about the origins. The core of farmhouse decor is minimalism, and no one does minimalism better than Scandinavian design.

Ikea has become a fantastic place to stock up on farmhouse decor basics, as you’ll see in the products I’ve linked below. In home decor stores there’s always certain items that tend to be overpriced because they are marketed as farmhouse. I’m talking about things like vases, pillows, etc. I broke it down by room function like Ikea’s website so if you decide to shop around you can easily find everything. It doesn’t just stop at modern farmhouse either, I found some great options for industrial farmhouse and coastal farmhouse too! Kitchen

If you’re on a budget and can’t afford to buy a homemade wooden table handcrafted from a massive oak tree that day, Ikea is for you! (But I wish we all could have our own neighborhood carpenter like Joanna!) Ikea is great at making products that give the look you want and last a long time.

I found some super cute farmhouse tables and chairs, and even bar stools! From wooden chairs to industrial pipe frame chairs, there’s something for everyone. You can even buy a farmhouse sink! Ikea also has some cute solutions to kitchen organization.

Living Room / Dining Room

I included some more chairs for living room/dining room because these are more standard chairs, and the previous ones were more for a kitchen nook or barstool style. The more decorative farmhouse pieces you’ll find further down in general decor.

Bedroom

Ikea has two adorable bed frames with a headboard that are perfect for farmhouse style. Be sure to check out their bedding as well for some simple options for those on a budget. If you’re willing to splurge, I’d check out Pottery Barn for bedding as well!

General Farmhouse Decor

Here’s where the magic happens. While the Magnolia section of target is usually my go-to for items like these, Ikea’s farmhouse decor options are even more affordable and versatile. First up is vases!

Pillows are always so overpriced, so always check places like Ikea and Home Goods for great steals on pillows. These have cute little bows on one side, and plain on the other. I think it would be so chic to have them alternated on the couch.

Baskets are the ideal storage container because they look presentable and rustic, but they’re multipurpose! Keep your blankets inside baskets so they’re hidden but accessible.
